The harsh reality regarding domestic revolution - to be organized by the Police Department!

According to Natural News, police in Fort Pierce “are now armed with a U.S. military surplus battle wagon: a six wheel, 30-ton armored vehicle worth $700,000 - that the agency got for $2,000."

"If you see my SWAT team roll up in this, it's over, so just give up," Police Chief Sam Baldwin said sardonically.

He did go on to say that he really hopes to make sure that the mine-resistant, ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicle is never used. But, if it must be, he says it will be utilized to transport the SWAT team to the scene and for a mobile command and rescue vehicle.

The local NBC affiliate further reported that, “Officer Keith Holmes got the vehicle in October through the auspices of the National Defense Authorization Act. That allows the military to transfer excess military vehicles to law enforcement agencies. The city got a little-used model with 5,000 miles on it.”

Former long-serving U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas wasn't mincing words when describing the scene in and around Boston following the April 15 terrorist bombing of the famous annual Boston Marathon. To him, the tactics that local police and federal agents used when searching for the suspects was nothing short of the kind of military action you see in a "banana republic."

In fact, to him - and millions of other Americans watching as well - the resultant house-to-house searches and martial law-type bans on the public, to name a few tactics - were scarier than the actual bombings.

"The Boston bombing provided the opportunity for the government to turn what should have been a police investigation into a military-style occupation of an American city," Paul said on the libertarian Lew Rockwell website, as reported by Politico. "This unprecedented move should frighten us as much or more than the attack itself."
